No creation tokens needed anymore!
We have updated mixxt and there are a few minor changes as well as a major one. You do not need any kind of invite or creation token to start your own network anymore! So you can get going, straight away.
Go for it :)
We have added a new access control system to our framework. As a result you can very soon administer your members very easily in our new member admin panel. Want to add new administrators to you network? You will be able to do that in a jiffy.
Event module changes
You can create a new event by copying an old existing one. This makes recurring events a lot easier to handle. You don’t have to type it in more than once! This great idea came from Mr. Pl0gbar, who organises many web2.0 meet ups in Germany. Thanks Florian!
Events easy and fast
We are also improving usability and navigation in the networks. The member status box on the right hand side will have a wide set of links and features, starting off with a link to the admin panel. There is a lot more coming up.
mixxt is starting up
We have set off to change social networking. Away from major networks that are flat. We want more privacy, more freedom and ultimatively more influence for the users. So what does all that have to do with mixxt? It is the essence behind our thoughts, decisions and product. With mixxt you can start your own network. As in yours. You do not have to worry about networking under the whim of a huge company, that could change its focus and objectives in a matter of seconds.
You decide who you want to network with and how. You also decide over design, features, privacy and everything else. Start meeting, sharing or just finding people who really have an interest or passion in common with you. All it takes is three minutes. Customising one of our nice designs may take a little longer. But that is it.
Want to take mixxt for a little spin? You can! We are in half-open beta. Which means: joining networks is open to anybody, only depending on the privacy settings by administrators of the networks. If you want to start your own network, just email us (token @ mixxt [dot] net) and we will send you a creation token soon.
